Sabato Sisillo, MD
Dr. Sabato Sisillo was born in Pannarano, Italy, a small town of 2,000 residents near Naples. Following in his grandparents' footsteps, his parents immigrated to the United States in pursuit of better opportunities, particularly in education.
Dr. Sisillo grew up in New York City, arriving in Manhattan in 1968, when the city had a population of 7.8 million. He attended LaSalle Academy, an all-boys Catholic high school in lower Manhattan, and went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Toxicology from St. John's University in Queens, New York.
He pursued his medical degree at Universidad del Noreste in Tampico, Mexico, and completed the Fifth Pathway Program sponsored by New York Medical College in Valhalla, New York, with a year of training at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Bridgeport, Connecticut.
In 1988, Dr. Sisillo moved to Kansas City, Missouri, where he served as an instructor at the University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC), teaching human anatomy, biochemistry, and physiology in the National Board prep program. He completed an internship in Family Practice at UMKC Truman East in Lee's Summit, Missouri, followed by a residency in Internal Medicine at UMKC Truman Medical Center West/St. Luke's Hospital.
In 1998, Dr. Sisillo completed his fellowship in Pulmonary Medicine and Critical Care at UMKC Truman West/St. Luke's Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri. He is board-certified in Pulmonary Medicine.
Dr. Sisillo began his private practice with Midwest Pulmonary Consultants in Kansas City, Missouri. In 2003, he co-founded KC Pulmonary Associates in Kansas City, Kansas, with Dr. Khan. His practice initially served Bethany Hospital in Kansas City, Kansas, and now focuses on Providence Medical Center.
Dr. Sisillo currently serves as Chief Medical Officer at Providence Medical Center. Over the years, he has held various leadership roles, including Medical Director at Select Specialty Hospital, Associate Professor at KU Medical Center, and President of the Medical Staff at Providence. He currently chairs the Board of Directors at Providence Medical Center.
Dr. Sisillo has mentored numerous medical students and residents from KU Medical Center and is currently the Program Director for the Respiratory Therapy Program at Kansas City Kansas Community College.
Outside the office and hospital, Dr. Sisillo enjoys outdoor activities, including exercise, cycling, and skiing. Most of all, he treasures the simple pleasure of walking in the mountains of Pannarano, Italy, and hunting for mushrooms.

Aman U. Khan, MD
Dr. Khan is a graduate of Dow Medical College in Pakistan. He completed his internal medicine residency at St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester, Massachusetts, an affiliate of the University of Massachusetts. He then completed his Pulmonary and Critical Care fellowship at the University of Texas in Houston and MD Anderson Cancer Center.
Dr. Khan is board-certified in Pulmonary Medicine, Critical Care Medicine, and Sleep Medicine. He is a Fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians. Dr. Khan has a special interest in the diagnosis and management of interstitial lung diseases as well as sleep-disordered breathing. He has been associated with K.C. Pulmonary Associates since 2003.
Dr. Khan actively practices Pulmonary/Critical Care and Sleep Medicine at Providence Medical Center. Additionally, he holds privileges at Select Specialty Hospital, Promise Long-Term Acute Care Hospital, and Advent Health Main and South Campus. He has chaired multiple committees and served as the President of the Medical Staff at Providence Medical Center from 2018 to 2020. He is also the current President of the Medical Staff at Promise Hospital and a past member of the Board of Directors at Providence Medical Center. Dr. Khan has also served as the Medical Director of multiple sleep labs and as Chair of the Department of Medicine at Providence Medical Center.
Dr. Khan has also been actively involved in teaching. He has mentored numerous internal medicine residents from KU Medical Center, medical students from Kansas City College of Osteopathic Medicine, and nurse practitioners.
Outside the office and the hospital, Dr. Khan enjoys traveling around the world, hiking in the mountains, and is an avid tennis player.
